Boogie Events Outdoor Show in Madagascar

2017 is gonna be a year full of... holidays ! 13 holidays in Madagascar, including 5 long 3-days weekends. Hence, this exhibition show is the right occasion to plan your coming weekends and holidays, too short to fly abroad and too long to remain in Tana ! Saturday, the 21st of January, Boogie Events - Outdoor journeys online selling - launches a show open to the public and dedicated to Sport & Adventure Tourism in Madagascar. A new idea as the well know tourism fair in Tana is of course the International Tourism Fair (ITM). But ITM is more focused on a discovery tourism, with tours going to national parks, to see fauna and Flora of Madagascar. During our show, you will discover another kind of tourism : the Adventure Tourism, focused on outdoor activities. Madagascar is an exceptional playground for those willing to visit countries differently. This show will allow you to meet with our partners offering these activities. Petit texte de présentation sur le parc encore méconnu du Masoala, par notre partenaire MARCOVASCO. Une aventure mémorable dans le parc national malgache de Masoala Grande île de l’Océan Indien, Madagascar est un pays authentique et idéale pour faire de l’écotourisme lors d’un séjour en Afrique. Les diverses aires protégées de cette magnifique contrée permettront aux amoureux de la nature et aux adeptes de trekking de vivre un voyage sensationnel. D’ailleurs, le parc national de Masoala figure parmi les zones préservées les plus vastes du territoire malgache. Il fut instauré vers 1997 et se situe au nord-est de la grande île, dans la province de Diego-Suarez. Depuis 2007, cet éden, ainsi que d’autres réserves nationales, fut intégré dans le patrimoine mondial sous l’appellation « forêts humides de l’Antsiranana ». Par ailleurs, ce complexe naturel comprend 2 300 km² de surface terrestre et 100 km² de partie marine. Cette dernière se divise en trois, à savoir Tampolo à l’ouest, Ambodilaitry au sud et Ifaho à l’est. Sur ces sites, il est possible de faire du kayak de mer et de la plongée en apnée. Le parc national de Masoala et sa flore inestimable Autrefois, Madagascar était surnommée l’« île verte » à cause de son territoire rempli de forêt exubérante. Malheureusement, la déforestation a pris beaucoup d’ampleur au fil des décennies et cette appellation a perdu sa raison d’être. En outre, depuis sa création, le parc national de Masoala tient une place prépondérante dans la préservation et la restauration du patrimoine naturel malgache. En effet, il concentre près de la moitié des différentes variétés végétales du pays. De plus, la biodiversité des forêts de cette région fait partie des plus importantes sur Terre. Ainsi, les trekkeurs y trouveront environ 600 espèces végétales, 7 de mangroves, pas moins de 50 variétés de palmiers, des algues marines et des zones d’herbiers. Ils y rencontreront également quelque bois précieux tels que le bois de rose et d’ébène et des plantes carnivores nommées Nepenthe masoalensis qui sont aussi endémique du pays. Enfin, il faut préciser que les expéditions menées dans cette réserve doivent obligatoirement être accompagnées d’un guide officiel agréé. Découverte des animaux endémiques du parc Le parc national de Masoala constitue un véritable havre de paix pour les innombrables animaux endémiques qu’il compte. Au cours d’une randonnée dans ce sanctuaire, les explorateurs découvriront en un seul endroit la majorité des espèces animales de Madagascar. Entre autres, cette aventure permettra de rencontrer 10 espèces de lémuriens, dont le Vari roux et l’Aye-aye. Il y a également des geckos Phelsuma, des uroplates ainsi que différents caméléons et batraciens. Par ailleurs, les ornithologues trouveront certainement leur bonheur en découvrant tous les oiseaux de ce refuge pour ne citer que le Serpentaire de Madagascar et l'effraie de Soumagne. En outre, les fonds marins de la région ne sont pas en reste. En effet, ils abritent près de 300 espèces de poissons, 164 de coraux, 27 de concombres de mer, des raies et des requins récifaux. De plus, les voyageurs de passage dans le coin, entre juillet et début septembre, auront la chance d’apercevoir des baleines à bosse aux environs de la baie d’Antongil. Des baleines franches australes, des dauphins, des tortues marines et des dugongs seront aussi au rendez-vous.

ITM 2016: Boogie Events exhibits in Malagasy Tourism Fair

ITM 2016 will be held in Antananarivo (Madagascar) from the 2nd to the 4th of June 2016 (3 days)

For this 5th edition, the International Tourism Fair of Madagascar (ITM) will include the leisure industry, not present during the previous editions. The objective will be to promote Tourism while enhancing the natural, cultural and environmental patrimony in interaction with leisure industry offers. Therefore, this is a meeting Boogie Events could not miss !

Short reminder : ITM 2016 it's more than 100 exhibitors from different industries (Hotels, Tour operators, artisans, local tourism boards...). These exhibitors will show their diverse abilities and the plenty of tourism and leisure offers that Madagascar's destination has. Beside this local exhibitors, there will be also regional exhibitors such as regional tourism boards from the Vanilla Islands (Mayotte, Comoros, Reunion, Mauritius, Seychelles, Maldives).

Conferences scheduled : different local and internatioanl speakers will share their experiences with 700 local tourism workers to help them better improve their businesses.

Music & Handcraft : ITM is also the occasion to highlight cultures from the different regions of Madagascar. Malagasy arts are a part of touristical patrimony in Madagascar. Therefore, silk weaver's workshop and wooden sculpture workshops will be there.

Historically, Boogie Pilgrim is an inbound tour operator opened in 1988. Boogie Pilgrim sells classic tours in Madagascar : National Road 7, Nosy Be, east and west of the island too. These tours are fair trade oriented and assist customers on discovering the natural wonders of Madagascar with lots and lots of endemic species : Chameleons, birds, lemurs, baobabs... and amazing landscapes : Isalo National Park, Tsingy, primary forests... There is a lot to see in the Red Island !

Moreover, Boogie Pilgrim is a well-known company in the tourism industry worldwide. The team exhibits for a long time in the largest tourism shows. The idea of Boogie Events came from visitors coming to these shows themselves ! They keep asking : Where can I surf/dive/sail/run/bike in Madagascar ?
